1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using CareerX, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our platform.

2. Eligibility

CareerX is designed for:

  • Students: Current students and alumni of the University of Moratuwa
  • Companies: Registered businesses seeking to recruit UoM talent

3. User Accounts

Account Security

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • You may not share your account with others

Accurate Information

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information in your profile and applications.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Submit false or misleading information
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Spam or send unsolicited communications
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the platform
  • Use the platform for any illegal purposes
  • Scrape or harvest data without permission

5. Job Postings & Applications

For Students

  • Job applications are processed through the platform
  • We do not guarantee employment outcomes
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of your applications

For Companies

  • Job postings must comply with Sri Lankan labor laws
  • Discriminatory job requirements are prohibited
  • You must provide accurate salary and job information

6. Intellectual Property

All content on CareerX, including logos, designs, and text, is owned by the University of Moratuwa or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

CareerX is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or error-free operation.

8. Limitation of Liability

CareerX and the University of Moratuwa shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Sri Lanka.
